Our future without water

Future without water, sounds bad or inconceivable? Believe me; it is going to happen if we maintain the same pace with respect to environment, water & soil! Just forget about next generation. In 5 years down the line, we are going to face water scarcity to the extent which we cannot just imagine.

Why this? We, human beings considered to be most intelligent among all other animals. We treat ourselves best & we think and work a lot to establish our future & our children’s future! In the run of making money and gaining assets just for our family, we are forgetting our fundamentals & basics – what is it? Technologically we are growing smarter and much more than what our elders used to be! Is that all what we needed and what our mother earth needed?

This summer wasn’t very easy & many areas affected by the water shortage not just for farming but also for the daily requirement. Bangalore city alone faced lot of cries & shouts from its citizens. The drastically changing environment conditions are the major challenges that we face. There are many areas affected with the supply of water due to shortage. Daily calls to various tanker suppliers and negative response from them as well. Looking at all these, what we feel and what we do!? Just feeling helpless and silent prayers to the rain god to make his entry early! Other than that, what can we do as citizens of India in which we get good rainfall every year in many of its states & more over we have many rivers and lakes! How is this water crisis possible in such a beautiful country with lot of water sources? Aren’t we responsible? Isn’t that our greed what makes it ugly?
